The Common Man Family, the theater's owners, claim that the fire looks to have originated at the Downtown Pizza building, which is located next door to the well-known establishment The Flying Monkey.
According to Common Man organizers, 450 patrons, staff members, and musicians were evacuated from The Flying Monkey during a Saturday night performance due to a fire that started next door.
"Everyone departed the building in a systematic manner," stated Maureen Clark, a showgoer. "People were yelling, 'Look, the roof is on fire,' when we were leaving The Flying Monkey on the south side
